Guides and documentation for club owners and administrators
Courts are the foundation of your facility. They represent the physical playing areas where reservations are booked and league matches take place. This guide covers how to add, edit, and manage courts from the admin dashboard.
Navigate to Courts in the admin sidebar. Click the Add court button in the top-right corner to open the creation dialog.
Provide a clear, descriptive name in the Court Name field. The placeholder suggests formats like "Court 1" or "Main Field". Choose a naming convention that makes sense for your facility and stick with it.
Choose the primary sport for this court from the Sport dropdown. The list is populated from your organization's configured sports. This field is required.
Use the Description text area to add any relevant details about the court, such as dimensions, features, or usage notes. This information is visible to members browsing your facility.
Enter the playing surface in the Surface field. Common values include Hard Court, Grass, Clay, Turf, or Wood. This helps members choose the right court for their needs.
Toggle the Indoor court switch if the court is in a covered facility. This defaults to outdoor (off). The indoor/outdoor badge appears on the court card to help members plan accordingly.
Click Add Court to create the court. It will immediately appear in your court list with an Active status badge.
Court naming best practices
Use a consistent naming scheme across your facility. For example, "Tennis Court 1", "Tennis Court 2" rather than mixing formats like "TC-1" and "Court Two". Members will see these names when booking reservations.
Each court card displays an Edit button. Clicking it opens the edit dialog where you can update the following fields:
Click Save Changes when you are done. The court card updates immediately to reflect your changes.
Active vs. Inactive
The Active toggle in the edit dialog controls whether the court is available for new reservations and scheduling. Setting a court to Inactive does not delete it or remove existing bookings, but it prevents new ones from being created. The court card shows a red "Inactive" badge when disabled.
To remove a court, click the trash icon on the court card. A confirmation dialog will appear warning that the action cannot be undone and that existing reservations may be affected. Click Delete to confirm.
Deletion is permanent
Deleting a court permanently removes it from your organization. If you only need to temporarily take a court offline, use the Active toggle in the edit dialog instead.
The search bar at the top of the courts page filters courts by name and description as you type. This is useful when managing a large number of courts across your facility.
Multi-sport facilities
If a court is used for multiple sports (e.g., a gymnasium used for basketball and volleyball), create separate court entries for each sport with clear names like "Gym - Basketball" and "Gym - Volleyball". This keeps reservations and league scheduling organized.
